Selvíria é finalistas do prêmio Gestor do Ano em Boas Práticas na Gestão Pública
O município de Selvíria ficou entre os nove finalistas no prêmio Gestor do Ano em Boas Práticas na Gestão Pública, o evento aconteceu entre os dias 30 à 02 de outubro em São Paulo, no Memorial da América Latina. Representando o município, o prefeito José Fernando Barbosa dos Santos, participou do 2º Congresso Nacional de Prefeitos - Encontro Nacional de Consórcios Públicos, organizado pela Associação dos Prefeitos do Estado de São Paulo (APREESP), que teve como principal objetivo discutir um novo Brasil através do Pacto Federativo.
O projeto “Adote Uma Nascente”, colocou Selvíria entre os municípios finalistas na categoria “Meio Ambiente”. O projeto visa a recuperação de nascentes situadas principalmente nos assentamentos de Selvíria e foi desenvolvido pelo coordenador ambiental da Secretaria Municipal de Meio Ambiente e Turismo de Selvíria, Valticinez Barbosa Santiago, que também acompanhou o prefeito, juntamente com o presidente da Câmara Municipal, Alexandre Cagliari. Mais de 1.800 projetos foram cadastrados para a premiação. Outros dois municípios de Mato Grosso do Sul também foram destaques no prêmio, Bataguassu e Campo Grande.
Para o prefeito José Fernando este é um momento de alegria para o município e principalmente para Mato Grosso do Sul, participar do evento e ficar entre os finalistas da premiação. “É sempre uma honra poder participar de eventos como este, onde podemos representar nossa cidade. E junto com outros prefeitos de todo Brasil marchei a São Paulo em prol de um novo país através do Pacto Federativo. E muito me orgulha, Selvíria ter sido um dos municípios finalistas na premiação Gestor do Ano em Boas Práticas na Gestão Pública, através do projeto Adote uma Nascente. Recebemos essa honraria através deste projeto, que é sem dúvida uma iniciativa de grande importância para a biodiversidade de Selvíria”, comentou.
Já o gestor e coordenador ambiental, técnico responsável do projeto, Valticinez Santiago, explicou que o projeto visa a recuperação e preservação de nascentes no município, tendo monitoramento feito por equipes da Agraer/MS e do Imasul. “ A prefeitura de Selvíria é responsável pela execução do projeto, e estamos empenhados para a continuidade permanente desta ação”, disse.
O projeto já havia sido apresentado em um grande evento, em Manaus-AM, levando o nome do município a nível nacional, além disso também recebeu R$ 180 mil do Fundo Estadual de Defesa e de Reparação de Interesses Difusos Lesados (Funles), gerido pela Semagro - Secretaria de Estado de Meio Ambiente, Desenvolvimento Econômico, Produção e Agricultura Familiar, para aquisição de veículo.
